Details

HEPES 4-Hydroxyethylpiperazineethanesulfonic acid is a zwitterionic buffer that is easily soluble in water. Widely used in cell culture media, proteins, IVD kits and other fields. When added to cosmetics, it has the functions of exfoliating and assisting penetration. This ingredient is often seen in lotions, gels, and creams. Since hydroxyethylpiperazine ethanesulfonic acid can maintain a constant pH during chemical reactions, it is often paired with ingredients such as glycolic acid to help prolong and maintain the quality of skin care products.
PIPES 1,4-piperazine diethanesulfonic acid is a buffer solution that is soluble in NaOH aqueous solution and insoluble in water. It cannot form stable complexes with most metal ions. It is suitable for buffers in solution systems containing metal ions. PIPES Widely used for purification of tubulin using phosphocellulose chromatography, purification of recombinant GTP-binding proteins ARF1 and ARF2 by gel filtration, as a buffer to crystallize transketolase from E. coli, not suitable for redox systems.
